I have a smarthub plus and neither via the app or the admin panel across any browser is there the possibility to remove an unconnected device .
On my previous BT Home Hub router there was a button when using the admin panel to "remove" an unconnected device but not on the EE Smart Hub plus.
The only thing I can find in the app is to request that a device is forgotten but then the message says "....it'll still be able to connect to your wi-fi" It is not clear whether the device will connect automatically when in range of my router or will need to re-enter the network password? Please advise.

@kinoultonkid The app used to allow the device that was not connected to de deleted/removed completely, and yes the user/device will be able to connect automatically when they return and are in range of the Router. That is unless the app has change that much! Web manager NO!

@JimM11 Is there a way to provide feedback to EE that the functionality to permanently remove a device should be added to both the app and admin panel ? Imo the lack of this is a security issue.

@kinoultonkid Not really, you can easily change both the ssid or password for wifi, the admin password also if required. Gives you full control over your own hub, the permanent removal is covered by all off the above, so even the card label on the hub is off zero use, and physical button press has to be done to get past all of those!

The Wi-Fi credentials are stored on the device in question and the hub has no authority to be changing the settings on connected devices without the respective user's consent.
What is the reason you're wanting to remove a device as there may be a different solution to achieving what you want?

I have the same issue as above. I have replaced some smartphones and scrapped a faulty Epson printer. I would like to remove these devices from my Hub simply to tidy up my list of active devices. I cannot find any button to remove unwanted devices either on the App or the router itself. Surely there must be a way to remove non-functional devices?

@Loughlini Factory reset will do so, just be careful if you decide that is the way to go, all other possible issues can arise from doing that!

I gave temporary access to my wifi to a utilities provider's mobile device because the mobile signal is poor where I live. I hadn't at that point set up Guest Wifi. Now I want to remove that device's access and can't see a way to do that without resetting the access to all devices on my network. The BT home hub used to have the functionality to remove individual devices.

Yes my previous BT Hub was much better in this respect. You could remove unwanted devices to tidy up the list. I think this would be a valuable enhancement to the EE router.

@Loughlini Why they just go to unconnected devices in the web manager, and also the app used to be able to remove from the app itself so they may have changed that. Once a ssid/password is given out there is no way to stop an auto connect when the device comes back into range!
