Hi,
I have a Smart Hub Plus on the way to replace one I've already got (attempting to fix a digital phone problem).
How do I preserve the settings from one Hub to the other, both in terms of the WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi set up (including the extender disks) but also things like contacts for the Digital Phone.
In previous hubs, there has been a backup and restore function but I can't see anything on this.

@rm113 You are correct that there is now way to back up and restore the new EE Smarthub+ as you have found, It is going to be a pain for you i think, if you have already made changes to your existing router then it will be re-do all the steps for your replacement. You can if you wish before swapping, note your SSID, its password, and admin password for your current router. Connect the replacement to a PC/Laptop via ethernet only, login and set those 3 parameters minimum to same value's that you have recorded, anything else like wpa mode, wi-fi mode also. That should help to have all the devices connect quickly, your digital voice and possibly your smart wi-fi not sure, but you can post back the experience you find. HTH
There is a new app version appeared today on android, version 5.39.0 and had a quick look at that but no suggestions for any ability incase EE were doing something there end. Do not use digital voice so phone is greyed out on mine, but you should check if there is a backup/restore on it just in case.

There is no Backup and Restore facility on the SH+. What on earth were they thinking of?

The new hub was delivered yesterday (Friday) and I did the replacement this evening (Saturday).
The hub arrived with quite old firmware which had a backup/restore item but greyed out.
It also had a DDNS setting which I tried to use. Unfortunately it then updated itself to a new version of the firmware and the greyed out backup/restore was gone as well as the DDNS setting.
I have a non-standard DHCP range, a non-standard IP address for the hub itself and some port forwarding so I had to spend some time configuring.
The digital phone only sprung into life about an hour ago and I, of course, had to re-register the handsets and put the contacts back in.
I also had to re-pair the Wi-Fi mesh "discs"

@rm113 So you probably give it a 0/10 for replacement factor, also one of the reason's when a EE CS guide said i had to pin reset mine when i had a line sync issue, said that's not going to happen spent hours fixing IP range, naming etc and having to use the stupid app, so knew no backup / no way that happens, hope your voice issue get's settled by the change of router. You never know may be some one will bring the router backup and the landline backup plus restore features as it 100% needs it. And it's NOT put on as a mobile app feature. 👍

Update: I moved to a Smart Hub Pro just before Christmas. That gives me DDNS and also a backup/restore capability for Hub config. So a bit step forward.
(There are still some shortcomings but those are covered elsewhere)

@rm113 DDNS has made it's way back on the latest FW for the EE Smarthub+ along with some other Pro style features, just a heads up for you.

That's useful to know. Perhaps I could have saved the effort of cutting over but, actually, I find the Pro a little quicker in the Hub Manager and I'm ready for when EE TV is available at the same time as 1.6Gb (though will need to update my core switch to get maximum benefit)
