Port Forwarding Not Working on EE Smart Hub—Fix Needed

I've been trying to open specific ports on my EE Smart Hub, using a TP-Link RE700X range extender. My setup is identical to my previous router, but now the ports won't open. I’ve manually configured them in the EE Hub and in Windows Firewall, set up a static IP for the extender, disabled DMZ, and tried full resets. EE support was unhelpful—they just suggested restarting the router and re-following the guide, but nothing worked. Has anyone had this issue or found a fix on EE?

Which router(s) have their DHCP ON?

Does the EE router show an IP for the PC in its network map/list? If not, how do you think you know from the TP-Link is an IP for the PC recognised by the EE router & therefore meaningful in its Port Forwarding rules?

Reading through the latest, I agree with others that it would be very useful to be able to rule out the extender, especially as it's seen as a separate connected device in the Hub Manager. This suggests it's doing some sort of routing which could be interfering with the port forwarding firewall rules.

DHCP should only be enabled on the EE hub. If it's also enabled on the TP-Link device then that too could cause problems.

When you tried the DMZ and found it to work, where did you point it to? The IP of the extender, or the IP of the PC?
