Pointless having internet

So. I have recently upgraded.

I chose the core option as I have no desire to use the drivel that is sent in the post, but even so, I received a 'Smart' hub.

I have my own mesh system, which until the upgrade worked perfectly.

My issue now is : EE has decided to start blocking websites like Betfred, O2??, and some other options I have tried to access in the past day. I have no parental control options on. It is specifically set to OFF.

I have the unique issue that the EE app is locked down so hard when I try to access broadband settings when not using one of the cheap routers they call 'smart'. I have reluctantly given in and plugged it in to find that the only other option I can change is web protect? And when turned on I have to then allow each website at a time? Whats going on here?

@Gazza43 Check your safe settings for the EE Hub control! You don't say what you had connected before you threw the EE one at the connection. The range is below should you need to look. If they gave you the Smart Hub good chance then you have an old copper FTTC connection.

Thanks for the reply Jim. Sorry I wasn't more detailed in the response.

I have full fibre, before and after the upgrade. Safe search is off, as is parental control.

The system I have is a TP-Link deco mesh system.

The 'hub' they sent me is the new something something 7 plus. Which I am forced to install to access my internet content controls. That is my main gripe

@Gazza43 No you don't not sure where you got that information from a deco connected will be fine no need for a 7 Plus, the link i sent shows them all! If you have NEVER put that EE Smart Hub 7 Plus on the connection before now then it may just have not done any FW updates, and trust me that one needs it!

I would love someone to explain this to me then. Before I did connect the hub, I had a screen telling me I need to connect a hub to access the controls.

@Gazza43 What controls is it that you are trying to do, yes an EE app needs an EE Hub, that is all...

Your Deco mesh has all it's own sugar equivalent to the EE one assuming that you did buy whatever extra you needed for the Tp-Link deco as they are NOT Free with them!

Edit:-- So you are aware, the posted picture that you did, needs approval for anyone else to see it in the General viewing, anything at all personal on it then it will never be released.
