Phone not automatically reconnecting to WiFi

Everytime I leave the house these days the wifi keeps crashing. it keeps asking to reconnect, the mobile used to automatically connect to wifi's when away from the home wifi. is there a way of sorting this out so that it will automatically connect

Just to be sure with this one, is it the public EE WiFi hotspots that you're encountering these issues with?

If that's correct, despite the lack of automatic connection, can you successfully scan for these and log in with your details?

I have similar problem. Since setting up new EE router. Roku, laptops tableta, desktop, echos all connect fine. But our phones 2 Samsung Galaxies and one Google Pixel. All fail to connect automatically. We need to switch our phone WiFi off and on then connect.

@Dermois : Your mobiles won't reach your router when away from home. It's only when they are in reach of your router will they connect.
