Opt Out EE Public WiFi

I opted out to EE WiFi but the Public WiFi is still available, how long does it take to stop working?

anyone?

You need to OPT OUT:

• Log in into your EE account on the browser
• go to the Broadband section as Manage Broadband
• Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page find EE WiFi and click 'learn more about EE WiFi'
  
• OPT OUT

I opted out to EE WiFi but the Public WiFi is still available, how long does it take to stop working?

@burgers Couple off hours to a couple off day's, it should in theory disappear from the EE hub and stop transmitting it, what EE Hub is it that you have?

Hello, thanks for answering,

although I've just upgraded to Full Fibre 500, I've been left with my old Smart Hub 6 so despite having a smarthome I can't benefit from wifi 7, which is another one of those things

if anyone was wondering, the other post was in 'Public hotspot on MY router' where I answered how to opt out the EE Public WiFi

@burgers Do you have any wifi 7 devices, so you know those hubs will also more than likely now have the EE WIFI switched on also, very naughty EE slipped it in sometime mid 2025 with a FW update, thought most people wont even notice it? Smart home devices will more than not be anywhere close to wifi 7, wifi 6 is fine operational wise.
