Openreach port too wide for my broadband cable

Tiwa

Hello all. I just moved to a new apartment and on getting there, I realised that my broadband cable doesn't fit into the openreach port on the wall. What do I need to do? Although, I haven't been able to locate the box to see if there is anything in it that can help solve this problem. Thank you.

@Tiwa There are only two current connection methods for Broadband currently, fttc using OR Master phone socket with a RJ11 6 pin connector, and the other is fttp using the RJ45 8 pin Ethernet connection to a ONT modem.

From what did you have before to now for your new connection, When you say it does not fit, sounds like you are dropping backwards to the OLDER landline connection and on lower speed's, you may be lucky that there is a cable in the box but you better take a look on your router that it has a connection available to work on it, should be marked as DSL connection!
