Openreach UK Gigabit Vouchers

Our village have been asked to sign up for a UK Gigabit voucher to offset the cost of gigabit-capable broadband installation at our addresses. Currently though I have an EE broadband which seems to serve my existing needs. Openreach say that they need the village to sign up but I am just wondering how this all affects my existing contract with EE and whether any commitments have been made in going ahead with the Voucher for my address. Thanks..

The scheme will be for OR to install the infrastructure for Full Fibre (FTTP) in your village, not for connecting individual homes to it. For that you would need to apply to an ISP.

To get an idea of what you currently have which EE BB plan are you on including its speed? What EE router do you have (read its label)?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.
