Gents, you've been really helpful for this old guy. Thank you.

@shakey19811 For sure sky/vodafone currently give you the Landline Phone as a non chargeable free option monthly, and sock it to you with call rate charges, with sky i always had the calling package think roughly £12 extra but kept it for the contact with my Old Dad daily, sadly he passed 1 1/2 years ago now at the young age off 86. Got him a free 24month zero heavily discounted FREE calling package with SKY but trained him NO CALLING out as knew it would never last....

@Kryten602  If you allow Plusnet to transfer you to EE then they will do everything for you. You don't need to lift a finger. That's what I did. I even got a little bonus of "unlimited calls", which I didn't have with Plusnet.

Have you received your email from Plusnet yet, about having 30 days to decide?

Thank you Fox. No not yet, I've just had the email today about the upcoming shift over.

@Kryten602  Right. The email I received from Plusnet was titled "We're moving your broadband and phone services". It said that if you wanted to stay with Plusnet, you had to contact them within 30 days, otherwise they would start the process of moving you over to EE under the same, or better, service.

Although in my case it was a further 3 months before I was actually transferred to EE. Don't know if that's a normal timescale, or whether they were a bit slow with mine.

service will be the same just a name change as DV from ee to be just says package xhange on the order tracking they will more than likely allow you to use your plus net router

and send you

this cable that plugs into the ont is your going fibre to the home may not be like this if your

goes im the port marked wan on the router and ont openreach brings the ont if you dobt already have on oneid you do have ine alrady insalled this will be done remotely if you as staying with fibre to the cabinet this is easier

 ont.jpg

eample of what this may look like

@shakey19811 No they won't, a PN Router does NOT have any form of active ATA/Dect in it, so the PN Router has to go no matter what.

That is why PN are moving customers to EE for DV/Landline support.

Only the Yellow port on the 1 Gig ONT used for <= 1 Gig FF. It's the Orange port on the 2.5 Gig ONT needed for 1.6 Gig FF.
