Firstly I want to say I’m not deliberately moaning just looking for solutions.
weve always had a problem with all services where we live in the middle of nowhere and we have to tolerate what we can get. We also live in a long bungalow which has been extended. No offence but telling a foreign person these are our biggest issues that systems are made to go up not along. So when we had problems with the other tv company we was assured Ee was the best choice. Even though it clearly states online we can’t ee in this area. But they assured us it would be fine. So we applied to move Tv and broadband. Got. Great price and was good to go. Then within a week we started having issues with it crashing us out and buffering. Our son hardwired and used boaster boxes they said when we signed up we’d get a minimum 70mgs. When the engineer came out he said they lied immediately as the best they will offer is 30mgs. Engineer said yay you’re getting 70mgs all over. But come to prime time this drops if we get anything to 20mgs. They send an engineer out and will work for a few weeks and does it again. The apps half way through a program will either keep stopping or throw you out.. we was promised we could record 4 and watch 5. Not asking us if we had a aerial. So we can’t record. No plus channels and but you do have the apps which freeze or buffer. I’d do anything to get out of this even tempted to pay off the contract. We previously had BT for broadband which was great and Sky.. we tried sky q and that never worked.
what should someone like us do we live in a fantastic area but even dominoes don’t deliver. Any suggestions what are we doing wrong. We have 3 boaster boxes and it’s hard wired. We have the max internet we can get. I wish we never left Bt we paid a lot more but it worked.
Tv is rubbish but without a decent board band we’re fighting a loosing battle. I hate calling Ee as we go round in circles. They force you to have an engineer out and it appears they do something for it to work for a week and back to square one. 2024 am I to be grateful? Now the systems are down…..ummmm says it all.

It is possible you have too many booster boxes, and devices are having an issue trying to dictate what access point they want to be on, depending on the size of the premises you should only really need 2 maybe 3 at a push total including the modem/router, assuming you're using EE TV it's just another streaming service so it being able to have a stable TV show is reliant on you having a stable connection there are no Ariel's, if you're constantly getting less than the guaranteed minimum speeds you can get your bills discounted and they do have to look at it and either change what they can guarantee you, or fix the issue what is causing it depending on what it is, this is rules they have to follow given to them via ofcom.

Hi, I’m certainly no expert, but, when you said you have used BT in the past and that was ok for you, it did made me wonder 🤔 so I just had a look online to fact check and my thoughts were right.
‘’EE has joined the BT Group, home of TNT Sports, BT Infinity superfast fibre optic broadband, and the UK's biggest fixed communications network. You'll see more from us and BT in the coming months as we begin working more closely together’’
EE is pretty much the same as BT as far as service goes so it ‘should’ be the same quality as you have used on your BT package in the past?
If you are not getting the speeds they have promised (over a certain period of time) then you are entitled to a reduction on your bill.
hope that’s of some use? Good luck getting sorted ☺️

Thanks so Much.
sorry I meant 3 including the router
so we have a EE router and 2 BT BOOSTERS are wired through our loft. It’s a very long property. The main router is right at the start of the property and the boosters in sections following down. My son is an electrician working for a company related to them. He’s keen not to mess too much as he doesn’t want to affect the account. The engineer told me it was correct and said he’d changed the signal and showed us we had a great signal.
You can certainly tell when everybody comes home. I don’t want to double my conversations so I’ll reply and I hope I’ve explained it right.
thankyou. I don’t know the in’s and out’s so I don’t mean to sound stupid.

Thanks also
i didnt want to double my conversation.
weve been in the property 13 years bad from day one it was awful and we even had no use for a phone line as it would cut out constantly even my neighbours had the same issues.
we could never get sky broadband to work and we’d always had sky. So we was forced to have sky tv and bt broadband. It went faster and again was so much better. Sky fazed out sky plus and we tried sky q. Numerous times engineers came out and they could not get it working. Which is why we tried BT Tv. We was told Ee was taking over and the price came right down. I paid extra to make sure we got a good signal. Now we are with EE for it all. Every night is the same routine. It would start freezing and we turn on/off etc feeling like the same routine.
we understand we live in a award spot and the property has been extended a lot. We don’t know what to do try sky stream. Not being able to record we hate. No plus channels. If we can’t get the apps to kick in. I speak to Ee politely but it’s frustrating as trying to explain what’s happening. I rather pay extra for a consistent signal. I do think we was lied too. They told us we could record and we didn’t have an aerial. We don’t have telephone line as it was awful for being cut off mid conversation and we had mobiles. We can’t have Ee mobiles here as we can’t get a signal.
any suggestions that you or bobstar have I’d be grateful. I believe I’d be best putting it into writing to them as speaking to foreign areas is long winded and can take a hour. It drives me mad.

@Kath001 : Which EE BB plan are you on including its speed? What EE router do you have?
What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

@Kath001 As foreign get's Belfast is about as far as you can reach, BT/EE CS is 100% UK based, yes lines can be busy, landline is quicker, but you do not have that, and with no EE mobile also, normal call time when 150 is used is generally no more than 5 minutes in my experience. If you post the answer to @XRaySpeX please if you know, also include what BT boosters you are using, but does sound like your son has Ethernet Backhauled them and done it right, but some may not include the feature, poor BB has to be lived with and worked around to achieve what you need. The more you add, the worse it get's...
