Hi guys,

All up and running, however i am using my Netgear RS300 router and i have found the log in details to connect to the internet.

Trouble i am having is the lack of IPV6 for some reason.

IPV6 is set up to on the Netgear to connect via PPPoe and to use the same login details as IPV4 which is what worked on the previous provider but i am not getting an IP from EE.

Anything else i should be doing?

Cheers!

@jasons693071 Check in Netgear there will be a setting wrong in the Router somewhere!

Thanks, yes i have been trying all the various connection methods and nothing seems to work!

I would stick to the supplied unit but one is quite limited on changing any settings, DNS etc which i can change on the Netgear.

What i did notice was that IPV6 only uses IPV4 to resolve on the supplied unit and i am thinking it would work fully on the Netgear.

@jasons693071 Have you done anything regards the Netgear side, the iPv6 returned is fine i had iPv6 with EE for the 11 months that i stuck it out with them! This is a Netgear issue or a setting issue in your Netgear Router!

@XRaySpeX Thanks corrected not sure why it was not going out, erased and redid!

@jasons693071 - you're not alone. I suspect the Netgear devices don't like the /56 prefix delegation that the BT/EE network uses.

DNS can be changed on the EE hub. Even if you were to get it working on the Netgear, you would need to specify a third party v6 DNS server for the WAN connection because the BT/EE DNS servers are not yet IPv6 enabled.

@bobpullen Thanks bob, did not see that one, @jasons693071 sell the Netgear and buy an Asus!

Thanks.

Well, i have just plugged it back in and redid the settings and it seems to be working now but it shows no IPV6 DNS servers?

Is this because it actually resolves using the IPV4 DNS?

I guess i could try manually using Cloudfare ipv6 servers?

Thanks Bob, i have manually added Cloudfare IPV6 and i get this..
