@karenmann The Hybrid from EE is compatible with the BT Smarthub2 router that you have, look on the BT forum regarding getting the Hybrid to work with the BT router.

@karenmann  what is it you are trying to do?

The Hybrid Connect  only works if you lose the main broadband circuit.

But why do you have it if you have BT Broadband?

Does the Help page answer your questions? https://ee.co.uk/broadband/hybrid-broadband

So this red light is flashing. Was told it should be aqua blue and not flashing which it was when he was here. I moved to another place without unplugging etc and noticed it’s now flashing red

@karenmann  so from the Help pages:

Flashing red
Your device cannot connect to your hub. Try connecting with an Ethernet cable or moving it closer.

https://ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/hybrid-connect-set-up#article-heading-4

How is your Hybrid Connect connected to the Hub/Router, by Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi?

Flashing Red suggests that the HC is not connected to the hub.  If connected by Wi-Fi you may be out or reach, so could try moving closer?  Alternatively, if you can temporarily move the HC closer to the Hub and connect by Ethernet to see if that stops the red flashing light - to rule out other causes.

The job is right behind the new box and yellow Ethernet cables are in use. Have just rebooted again to see if any difference …

BT orange now blue andnfine

EE 2 x4g aqua lights

Big Aqua light blue…. Flashing…. Stable for a while then flashes red

Tried all that. Now got this again flashing red. All linked via yellow cables Ethernet

@karenmann  I notice you have a BT router - but I am unsure if EE's Hybrid connect works with a BT Router.

Were you not given an EE Router?

You may be best to give customer services a call - it is not clear which EE devices are compatable with BT ones.
