I am new customer for fibre broadband without landline. What will the engineer need to do for fibre setup and new broadband line fee? (obviously not in specific detail) Although I do not rent it, there is existing BT telephone socket here so previous tenant used landline. Does the fibre broadband come through the landline?

Probably nowt but attend the local cabinet to connect you.
Yes, the BB is carried by the landline.

Thanks for your response XRaySpeX, which confirmed what I expected but in all fairness, I feel I should now let you know that a bit more work was involved when the BT engineer came to switch on my broadband line. He was here for a couple of hours.
I live in a block of flats and so he had to search through many lines in the box for the correct line. He installed a new BT socket and set my EE equipment up and tested to make sure all was working properly. This all involved several trips back and forth from my flat to the BT box outside. I am satisfied that the £50 charge to switch the line back on for my fibre broadband is fair.

@Luddite3 thanks for coming back and updating the thread.
It sounds like there has not been a BT line used in the flat for some time, perhaps the previous occupier used Virgin Media. As well as the work you saw, they would also need to do some work at the cabinet, and probably at the exchange.
Whilst it can be that for a simple take over of an existing working line they would have little to do, it sounds like there was lots to do in your case.
