Hi Jeff have you resolved this issue yet as I’ve just switched my broadband from Vodafone to EE and I’m now showing that I’m connected to Vodafone WiFi but everything is working fine. It was saying EE to start with then the EE app asked me to scan the QR code on the back of the Vodafone router to transfer all my devices which worked but now it says I’m connected to Vodafone WiFi and I’ve tried scannining the back of the EE router and it won’t let me choose that network at all ? Weird
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

When choosing the option to transfer devices, renaming the SSID and the password is how the EE Hub goes about doing this, as all the devices should just be able to connect back up automatically and save you from going to each of them with the new EE details.
This is absolutely fine and not a problem, the Wireless details you use are only a local access thing and people often rename them to weird and wacky things just because they can, it does not impact on who your Broadband provider is.
I would take a picture or keep a note of the Vodafone Hub details somewhere just in case you lose track of them.
It will now stay as the Vodafone details since you have chosen the option to transfer devices, but your underlying ISP connection is from EE regardless of what the name says.

Hey there @Michael269.
Welcome to the Community 😊
Based on what you described here, when you scanned the QR code to transfer your devices, it copied your previous SSID settings such as the network name and connection key to your new EE Hub.
Therefore your devices will be able to reconnect automatically, but if your old network was named 'Vodafone WiFi' (or similar) this would have copied over too.
Just to be sure, have you unplugged the Vodafone router and connected your new EE one?

You would use the Vodafone details or their associated QR Code to connect, not those of the EE Hub as they have been changed and essentially no longer exist.
The QR Code is just a shortcut for the preset details, if these are changed (as they have been to match those of your old Vodafone Hub) that EE QR Code no longer works as the Wireless connection being broadcast is no longer "EE-******" or the password listed.
Since your Hub's SSID and Password has been changed to the Vodafone details, the Vodafone QR Code holds the details you need for connecting devices.
