Nest Wifi on EE Broadband

Hello, I will be getting EE BB 900mbps in Feb and will be using my own router, the Nest WiFi. I just wanted to confirm that I have to plug the Nest WiFi into the BT ONT, select PPPoE in the Google Home app and input the username and password from the EE router I receive. Is this correct?

About the installation, would the engineer be setting up the ONT then EE router first before I can connect my Nest WiFi or would he just install the ONT then connect the Nest WiFi. Also is the fibre cable short?

Is anyone else using their own router, what was your experience, any problems and are you getting full speeds?

Thanks

@Shadow_Tail   IPv6 has been available to New EE customers since it was launched around Oct 23, and has been added to Legacy EE circuits at the back end of last year.

Not sure which Nest you have and how configurable it is but there are a few threads with other routers and IPv6 settings.

@Shadow_Tail Links below for what you need, speed is not an issue on the OR/EE Full Fibre.

The install is with the EE Router supplied, you are on your own with any third party equipment an NO support from EE.

In Using & Configuring a Third Party Router you'll find everything you need to set up your router incl. the BB PPPoE creds. which are now the same as BT's.

Thank you.

Is it true EE BB doesn't do IPv6, it's not supported yet? What happens if I enable IPv6 on my Nest WiFi.

Thanks

@Shadow_Tail EE do IPV6 by default, so no idea why you think that they do not.

Hello. I need help, just got my ONT installed and trying to connect my Nest WiFi.  I've put it in PPPoE used bthomehub@btbroadband.com and BT for username and password. But nothing is happening. Is this the wrong credentials?

@Shadow_Tail    No that sounds right.

What else have you done/not done?

Does it work with the EE router?

I haven't tried, it wasn't set up during install of ONT. I might have to try that.  I've followed the Google doc https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6246630?hl=en&visit_id=638743584166326597-2420425382&rd...u

I put in the password and login but nothing happens. So I'm going to try again but turn off everything. Then turn everything back on.

@Shadow_Tail   Have you had a text/email from EE saying they have done their bit and it is ready to go?

What lights are on the ONT?

Does it work with a BT or EE router?
