What would be best solution for this?

I'm  500Mb broadband, which is absolutely great, but speeds to my Xbox Series X in my bedroom only reach around 180Mb max wireless.  Which don't get me wrong, it's still better than the 50Mb I was getting with FTTC, but what would be better to increase the speed to the Xbox, short of directly wiring it.  Would Powerline adaptors or EE Smart WiFi Plus be better?  That house isn't old, it's only about 25 years old, so thick walls isn't the problem.

Many thanks

@Rossby Never had much success on the old powerline, works fine but will never be a speed demon! Mesh can be the same as it's basically a souped up wireless but can never be relied upon to get you the speeds when you want them, and as a highly interrupted device has to jump up and down all over the place to go with the slowest device that request's attention.

Cable is the biggest pain never easy to run and hide out off the way but it just does work!

@JimM11 How old is your house.  Because I've heard powerlines isn't that great with older houses' wiring.  The house I live in is less than 25 years old, so I can't see that as being a huge problem.

@Rossby  it is not the age of the property that affects the powerline speeds.

It is the distance, so if your sockets in each room are on the same fuse you will get better speeds than if the sockets are on different fuses as the signal has to travel over both circuits.

I use them over a fairly short distance to feed a switch that then is used to connect the TV, Firestick and other devices and is fine for 4k video, not no idea how they would work for gaming.

@Rossby Nothing to do with the age off the wiring, It's the total distance off Point A to Point B and through all of the ring main's of either, so from downstairs back to the fuse box, then off to the other circuit!

Speed is off zero importance that has to be the considering factor, if it delivers what you require then you are good to go, If you are not sure, then Tp-Link have a full explanation off what you should expect!
