Moving into house already on EE

Hello, I am moving into a house in IV44 area which already has EE Broadband. We are happy to take over the existing 'line' but we are finding it difficult to talk to EE. Recent phone call to EE said 20 min wait. Just to make things worse we live in France and I'm over the age of 60 and permanently grumpy.

Any suggestions that beat calling in at an EE shop?

Hello @allen61 ,

Welcome to the community,

What is your query? We have no idea here, we do not have access to accounts and do not know who you are, but may be able to help if you give us more details, otherwise you will have to ring customer service and discuss this.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

You don't take over the existing BB line contract as such.

You order BB at that addy directly from EE from EE BB Deals & if your order is successful you take over that line & the previous occupant's contract is auto cancelled.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

@allen61 No matter what, you cannot just take over an EE line, broadband account or anything. The only way that you can do that is the existing account holder will have to agree to keep the EE broadband on at that address, you have to pay him/them, they have to pay the EE bill, and if they need broadband for another property then EE may have issues with that also.

If Broadband is still working is the existing customer going to cancel, house move, if there is a line currently with NO broadband, and you say was previously EE then you need to start and apply for it yourself. Hope this helps.

@allen61  it would be worth checking on the BTW DSL checker to see what broadband speeds you may get, and if the speeds are fast enough for Digital Voice, as the old analogue phone network is closing down. You should be OK in Teamgue, but there is likely to little service in the remoter areas of the Isle..

As already mentioned, rather than phoning you can order online from EE or other chosen suppliers.

Use the address checker if yu do not know the phone number.
