Hi all,
Have seen a few of the posts on here but none seem to relate to firewall routers.
Just wondering if anyone on here can recommend an EE-compatible (on Fibre Plus package) modem to use as a bridge modem for my firewall router, as tried a Draytek Vigor 130 and couldn't get it working even with specialist router engineer. Spent several hours trying to make it work as it was (supposed to work "out of the box"), changing a few settings based on EE recommendations, and also doing factory resets but none of it worked.
Also put in @FS username and password into the firewall router.
Would really appreciate any recommendations based on actual experience as currently using the Smart Hub as a kind of bridge but with WiFi turned off. It works but from a security standpoint not the ideal solution.
Thanks!

Why mention it? It is part of the username; it is not the actual letters used so to mention it adds to the confusion.

@Mustrum : Eh? I don't get you! It needs to be mentioned as it's part of the pwd, not part of the username:
If your username looks like PRODUCTIONHQNUN123456@fs, your password will look like HQNPASS123456.
You are misreading "HQNUN" in the username as "HQNPASS"; confirmed by you telling others to leave off just "PRODUCTION". You are misleading everybody every time you post about this matter.

@XRaySpeX what can I say, it works for me, have you tried it, guessing not, as I presume you have an older username.

@Mustrum : No, I'm going by EE's official documentation as I just quoted.

@XRaySpeX, @Mustrum: Genuine thanks for your answers. I'm quite confident we did everything you've mentioned and it still wasn't working. So I do wonder if the modem was faulty.
Anyway, the main reason for coming on here was I was wondering if there were any suitable alternatives for this arrangement, ie bridge modem between LAN and firewall router.
Btw I used the format as described by XRaySpeX.

Apologies I mean between ADSL cable and firewall router.

The Draytek Vigor 130 is as good as any & should work in your situation. Standalone modems aren't overly common.

You could say that you've discovered from your own creds that "HQNUN" works equally well as the documented "HQNPASS" at the start of the pwd & consequently that the documented transformation for the pwd while being correct as far as it goes is not the whole story.
For all you know the letters in the username & pwd may very well be irrelevant & may be changed or omitted at will.
