Migrating from BT Broadband to EE Broadband - login arrangements

I expect to be migrating from BT broadband to EE broadband in a few days, in line with the end of my BT contract. I won't be taking DV so plan on continuing to use my Asus RT-AX86U router plugged into the Openreach modem because, I understand, that router is superior to the hub being provided by EE. Given that the broadband login details for BT and EE appear to be exactly the same, is it safe to assume that I don't have to do anything at my end for the switchover?

Correct! EE's BB PPPoE creds are the same as BT's. To check in Using & Configuring a Third Party Router you'll find everything you need to set up your own router.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

Is this still the case? I'm due to move from BT to EE in a couple of weeks and plan to carry on using my own network gear.

Should still be the case.

Will the switch involve Digital Voice as if so then to continue with DV the EE Hub must be the first device connecting to the internet and then your router settings get more complicated.

No. Haven't use a house phone in years. It will be for internet only and I'll be using my own mesh network gear. The EE stuff will be unplugged and put in a cupboard as the BT gear was years ago.
