Since switching to EE I have found that the quality when using Teams is not great - buffers on video calls and freezes. Other colleagues who are with EE have the same issue. Fine on all other platforms - WhatsApp etc. Are EE aware of this?

Hi @RachB77

I've sent you a private message to get a little more information from you, so that we can look into this further.

Thank you.

Chris

Also have numerous colleagues the same.... @Christopher_G anything you can do to help?

It seems to be other VOIP apps with WiFi calling being almost unusable.

Audio seems to be fine (without camera) as soon as another UDP stream is introduced is when the issues hit. Also seen some posts re the firmware version of the router which is causing the issue. Has to be router specific as some people have changed to the old Bt router and are working no issues.

Hi Christopher

Tried to send a PM but got access denied (probably as i've just registered to look into this issue further).

Can you PM back or email?

Im also having issues with teams / OneDrive and it seems that issue here is EE as it’s fine when I’m in the office.

This issue is a nightmare. Unfortunately no-one gets any traction as I believe it is a limited number  of customers that realise this is an EE problem and end up here... I think this is an issue isolated to secure corporate laptops as others in my house have no issues - but for me, attempting to share is basically a no-go and causes my video feed to crumble.

Interestingly -my employer (large corporate, tens of thousands of employees) now have a message on their IT support pages stating this is an EE problem and effectively EE are not recommended to work from home.

It is really so annoying when the service is otherwise flawless.

However I hope this is useful - the workaround I have found is to stop using the Teams app altogether at home, and use Teams entirely from the browser (Edge for me). It takes some getting used to but it actually works...

I don't even use the EE router at all and I still have the issues (TP_Link Deco mesh)

Using the browser version of Teams is another valid work around as the browser version does not rely on the proper routing of UDP packets through your local exchange. The issue is also not related to which router you use at home, the issue lies with the EE router based in your local exchange. I am extremely disappointed that no one from EE even understands the issue.

I just can’t understand why EE are not resolving this issue. I work for a very large company - thousands of employees- and anyone who works from home is having this issue. To the point people are being advised to not use EE.
