Login page for EE Access point Hotspots not opening or loading

Cannot open log in page to the out and about EE hotspots. I used to be able to access the hotspot just fine and as I was using it one day it no longer worked. I am an EE broadband customer and am away from home. I am able to connect to other EE hotspots just fine but this specific one I am able to connect to but it does not show the log in page and gives me a no internet error. I have tried using the url "https://ee-wifi.ee.co.uk/public/ee/index.htm" while connected to the hotspot but no luck. I have checked on the find a hotspot page on the EE website and it is not showing a hotspot in the area anymore.

@zincronbolt : Is it just 1 particular site that doesn't work? Where?

No I have seen that a possible solution to bring up the log in screen is to search the url manually while connected to the hotspot. But because the hotspot itself is not providing internet it is not working.

The location is at Kelso, Scottish Borders

Is this in the vicinity of residential properties? There's a chance that the hotspot is broadcasting from an EE customer's hub (which would explain why it doesn't show up on the hotspot map) and there's something screwy up with their Internet service/hub.

Yeah it’s in the centre of town so I suppose that could be the reason. Anything that can be done to fix it?

@zincronbolt What does the official EE Hotspot link show to you, also that is not fully guaranteed that they are still and EE Hotspot customer until you go try it. Trying to connect to someone's home network that has EE WiFi on it is real difficult unless you are well within a good range of that EE Hub. Use *** *** [full postal code] in the finder, not much is getting shown only 4 premises currently.

[Mod edit: postcode hidden. Kindly refrain from sharing such details in public discussions.]

What do you mean by EE Hotspot link also where do i use the post code in the finder.

Get public WiFi access | Find WiFi hotspots | EE WiFi > Find a Hotspot.
