How can I avoid paying for line rental and still have broadband access? Some of my friends are with BT and pay no line rental charges i.e., they have no landline phone.

If you have Fibre BB switch to "Fibre w/out Landline (sic)" (SOGEA). There will still be a landline to host the BB but you won't pay for it & you'll have no phone service or no.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone
ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Thanks for the fast response. I will look for that option. What is (SOGEA)?

Look it up on Google in the context of BB.

@cpk1 Have a look at THIS I’ve got BB with EE and no landline, I’ve had this for about 2 1/2 years now. When we did have a line we never even connected a phone to it so as soon as EE offered no landline BB it was a no brainer.

- Full Fibre, Full Works 24 month contract after BT. Double the price in Broadband & Landline
- Initial charges on new account in Mobile Broadband
- FTTP Coming to my area?? in Broadband & Landline
- New Broadband and DECT phone not able to receive calls from land lines in Digital Home Phone
- Cant access product's and equipment missing in TV
