Login to your EE Smart Hub/Router at 192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the bottom of the slider label on the back of the router. Then on the Home > Hub Light Control page you may adjust to OFF, 1/2 ON or Full ON.

@Helli You can turn it off as the other option so you have no light and comes on when fault condition, for sure via the web interface but not sure if the app can do it but you may see it there. try the web at http:// and add 192.168.1.254 after the // problem now displaying the text as no longer allowed out as one string without a fault appearing on the web page!

I wish I understood you, but I don't.  I can't find how to change the light on the EE webpage (is that called a web interface ?).  I've searched and searched on the site to no avail; it keeps telling me to download the app, which I have.  Sometimes I can find the page which allows me to change the light, but then I can't.  And when I change it to one of the 3 options it doesn't work.  Any advice?

@Helli If you cannot make it work cover it with some opaque tape, or black tape if you wish not to see it!

It seems that even dim is not dim enough!  Black tape after the price of my new contract - couldn't make it up!  Thank you for your input.
