My landline has stopped recieving calls and placing calls. It was working fine last night.
When I dial out it says this number is temporarily unavailable, and when i dial my mobile (not EE but another provider) it says this number is unavailable.
My broadband connection seems to be working fine for the computer and mobile.
I have unplugged the phone line and the power cable and replugged after about 10 seconds - and the phone still doesnt work. I called the tech folk but there is a 45min wait. Any suggestions?

Same problem.
I tried my landline this a.m. and it wont ring out except to EE mobiles (mine and wife's). It accepted a call from my EE mobile.
Ironically, I was trying to sort out a similar problem via BT (now EE) for my vulnerable mother at the time. She is 92 and lives 60 miles away. (Her neighbour sent me an email to alert me.). Eventually, BT's website bumped me onto an EE caller queue (expect 30 mins), so I went via their chat box instead (5 mins queue[15 actually]) which chopped me off, half way through the security verification. BT's website has now gone down (12.15hrs approx)
"We're launching something new
We’ve got some changes to make to our website, but we'll be back up and running again soon.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience."
I chose not to use EE originally, as their network coverage was (and still is a joke). Then BT sold its interests to EE I was a annoyed that BT sold out, but thought I'd give EE a chance. However, for me it has been nothing short of a shambles.
I thought their appalling ROAMING service was bad enough - I spent 9 hours over 3 days of a 7 day holiday on the phone to their tech people trying to get it working which they did eventually. To rub salt in the wounds, I still had to pay for the privilege.
I cant wait for the contract exit to come along.
