Landline/ router query

I've recently signed up for EE broadband only. Do I need to continue paying Talk talk for the landline so my router will work?

Not if you ordered BB Only from EE.

What is the name of the EE BB plan you have ordered including its speed?

There are 2 types of BB only you can have:

  1. Full Fibre (FTTP):. No landline is involved at all.
  2. Fibre (FTTC SoGEA): This is delivered over an included landline but you get no phone no. or voice service with it.

@GrahamO1  unless you have ordered a full fibre  service, your TT landline service should be automaticall cancelled when your EE  service goes live.

I signed up for what I was led to believe was full fibre broadband. Reading a recent email from you it says that the speed will be between 14 -18 mps.  This is what I am getting now with Talk talk. When will full fibre be available in my area SK2 5PH? I feel I have been mislead by your salesman.

Does this mean I can no longer use my current router? I thought I was signing up for full fibre.

I think it's fibre 36 essentials. But I was led to believe it was full fibre.  Can't log in to check if available in SK2 5PH.

I want full fibre but since signing up have found out it's only 14- 18 mps!! Totally useless for a i9 gaming rig . Is full fibre available in SK2 5PH? I can't login to check 😕

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

@GrahamO1 : If Full Fibre is not available in your area then the speeds you'll ll get with EE will be exactly the same as you get from TT. As you weren't on Full Fibre with TT it's probably not available there. We won't know for sure until you do the BTw Checker I asked for.
