I was online last night at approximately 2100 and updating my Manhattan tv box when my internet went down with no warning. I took a screen shot of my tv which said "WARNING DO NOT TURN THE RECIEVER OFF DURING UPDATING PROCESS, THIS WILL CAUSE THE RECIEVER TO STOP FUNCTIONING ALTOGETHER" My Manhattan box is now useless because of the internet going down.
This is not the first time i have had issues with internet disruptions and when i have enquired it is said to be a normal occurrence, well i am very disappointed and angry as i now have to purchase another box and it costs £169.99i
I have proof of notification of failure to both my Manhattan box and tv, on my phone if you wish for me to send them.
I would like a response to this email and hopefully some form of reimbursement.
I await a speedy reply.
Regards
Mr & Mrs Ozouf

Hello @warcraft55 ,
Welcome to the community,
This happens, did you check your internet box, did it lose signal? I find this happens once a month or so, unplug the router and then plug it back in and all up and running. Nothing is infallible.
Have you tried setting your Manhattan box back to factory, switching it off and back on again? There should be a way of getting it working again.
This is not customer service, but a public forum, so you would have to ring customer service. I cannot see why EE should reimburse you, if your internet was down for several days, then you would be compensated.
I would suggest you try what I have suggested, as I cannot see why it should completely fail.

Any system update of a device should be designed to restart after such an interruption. It's the very nature of the Net. I should check with Manhattan what should happen in such circumstances.

Hi @warcraft55
Good try but @XRaySpeX is spot on.
Try claiming on your household insurance or contacting the manufacturer support team.
Thanks
