Hub/router

I have a Plusnet Hub 2, which I believe is the same offered by BT.  If I switch to EE broadband will the EE router/ hub have a different IP address?  I loathe having to re-pair all my WiFi controlled devices to a new router/hub.

@Nucky   As it happens the EE hubs use the same IP address range as BT and Plusnet, all part of the BT Group. However the default WiFi SSID will be different, but you can change that either by logging into the router or the APP allows it to be done should you want.

I have an SSID to reflect my house name (TREES) .... I have over 50 WIFI devices , so whenever I have a router change I just change the routers WIFI  SSID and password to my own.

In terms of IP addresses , if you use DHCP and not static addresses, the router will give devices an IP address, default router and DNS addresses , so no issues. For STATIC addresses , most routers are 192.168.1.254 .... unless you start using Double NAT addressing.

It's not the IP addys that matters when connecting your existing devices by WiFi to the router but the router's network name (SSID) & pwd. These will change with diff routers but you may either manually change them once & for all to your preferred values or when setting up the router using the EE app it will give you the option of cloning them from an existing switched-on router.
