Did you mean:

Hub Manager Beta missing functions

I will have to change supplier if the new Hub Manager (currently in Beta) continues to omit functionality present in the current Hub Manager:

1) It does not seem possible to identify online devices

2) It does not seem possible to see devices by connection port

I hope that these important functions have not been omitted as they are vital to the way I operate.

Regards, Nick

Huh? You can identify online devices under the 'Devices on your network' section, or am I missing something?

What do you mean by 'devices by connection port'? There's a filter under the same section that shows devices by interface. Are you saying that you can't see which of the physical ports an Ethernet device is connected to? If so, I'm curious: why is this useful to you?

I am using the beta version newly available for us to try. Are you?

In the old version I can identify online and offline devices separately. I can also see devices by CONNECTION INTERFACE.

@Nick-V Is the change for the Beta not up to par as you would suggest, more off a tool than anything else and still to be sharpened some time later. Feel free to leave if you do feel that strongly about it, don't think EE will stand in your way at all.

A beta version that doesn’t have all options within it available., the wording beta is the clue.

A beta version is a near-final build of a software program released to external users for testing and feedback before the official public launch.

Key Characteristics of a Beta Version
  • Feature Complete: Most or all major features are built and included, unlike earlier alpha versions which may still be missing core parts.
  • Real-World Testing: Tested by real users in everyday environments outside the development company.
  • Unresolved Bugs: May still contain minor bugs, performance glitches, or usability issues.
  • Feedback Focus: Designed to catch remaining errors and gather user suggestions for improvement.

These two standout

  • Unresolved Bugs: May still contain minor bugs, performance glitches, or usability issues.
  • Feedback Focus: Designed to catch remaining errors and gather user suggestions for improvement.

so it could be a bug and you then feedback this information.    That’s why it’s a beta it could be a bug that hasn’t happened before now.
