SSID, Password and Admin Password Changed to Non-Default After Factory Reset

Hello,

I am using an EE smart hub plus. Initially, my hub was set to the default SSID and passwords on the back of the hub. When attempting to make some changes through the hub manager, the admin password on the back of the hub was not working. NO I WASN'T PUTTING IN THE WIFI PASSWORD, I WAS TRYING THE ADMIN PASSWORD. In response to this, I performed a factory reset of the hub my holding the reset button with a pin. Upon reboot, to my surprise, the hub had not returned to defaults written on the back of the hub but now had a new SSID and wi-fi password... and admin password still not working. I have tried several resets since with no change. Any possible solution seems to require the working admin password which, again, is not the one on the back of the hub. Is there anything I am missing? Is the hub faulty? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

@ollykq  Welcome to the forum.

Is the SSID password the same as on the back of the router?

Looks like you will need to contact EE Customer support and request a new replacement router.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband.
