How do I know my router is using WIFI 7

Hi I am new to EE and I have just received my EE Smat Hub 7 Plus and  I thought that it was suposed to use WIFI 7 but when I look in my wifi settings on my lap top it state as bellow is this correct or do I have to change a setting

@Canadaleigh WPA2-Personal does NOT support wifi 7 at all. It's possible a laptop securities issue so start there. At the end off the day a sync that you have would not be worrying about it in the slightest. If windows take a look at the link.

CMD prompt and running netsh wlan show drivers will give you a far better idea what your laptop adapter can/will do, it makes most off the choice which way to go.

I ran netsh wlan show drivers and the adapter will run WAP3

I Have looked at the advance tab on the windows WI-FI and it states  WPA3-Personal so I think it is a problem with my windows, I have just spent 30 mins with a chat bot and got nowhere fast so i will try again tomorrow to see if i can get to a person

@Canadaleigh Only way i can think off proving would be to set your EE 7+ main wifi to WPA3-Personal but that will mess up all your other devices on the network that DO NOT support wifi 7, then drop your laptop off with forget the connection, re-connect to the Hub again and see if wifi7 get's established, it has no choice as WPA3 has to be done between both devices....

Your EE Hub is in the midst of a FW update so you just may wish to hang fire or see if the Hub has got there yet. See the link.

There is a more upto date windows intel driver at 24.70.0 but you do have to be careful if you wish to do that, not going to advise unless you really know what you are doing.

Ihave just checked my router main Wifi and it shows Security type: WPA3-Personal-Compatibility on both 2.5 & 5 GHz

looked at the the firmware and it is behind the latest so will see if updates ove the next day or so.

@Canadaleigh As before your sync speed shows you are way up there and if you are JUST pushing to see if/why for wifi 7 then understand, but really just no need to rock the boat so to speak. I have NOT one wifi 7 device, wifi6e is as far as they go, but NO way my 50's built house would even get a 6Ghz about in the slightest and i can push combined when i need to at 2.2Gb/s but do need to have wired/wireless combined to do that, and all the other's off the network, so really never happens as the wife would have a fit and i would need to do the one eyed sleeping....
