How do I get full fibre broadband?

Hi.

I was originally a BT broadband customer. When with BT, I had to sign up for part fibre (FTTC), and then could request an upgrade to full fibre. As I live in a block of flats, BT would request via Openreach, Openreach would contact the londlord, then with landlord permission the full fibre could be fitted.

The neighbouring block of flats (all of 3 meters away from my front door) has just had full fiber fitted.

I have moved from BT broadband to EE. When I spoke to an EE rep, they said there's no way to request full fibre - it will happen when they get round to it.

Why question is - why is this advice so different from BT to EE? BT could put an order in with Openreach, but EE won't do anything? How has my neighbour (new tenant) requested that fibre be fitted and its been fitted straight away, yet I can't ask for it despite being connected to the same telephone pole.

Looking for some advice please.

Thanks.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

Then use the Address Checker as I advised earlier.

Above is the info for my flat. Below is the info for the neighbouring flats. Edit: Sorry, I was a bit daft and missed your address checker thing in my first reply!

Yes, WBC FTTP (Full Fibre) is not available at your addy. So BT were stringing you along but EE is giving you the true situation.

Thanks for the reply. I do understand that, but FTTP was not available at the neighbour's address until they fitted it 2 weeks ago, upon the neighbour's request. They fitted a new wire from the pole and the fibre connections on the outside of the building with a box for the other 5 flats in the building to connect. Same landlord and management company so I'm not sure why it was fitted to one building and they ignored the other one 😞
