Hi there, I am just wondering if anyone from open reach or anyone affiliated with them are on here and can pm me or reply to me on here in regards to when my whole street will get full fibre. The open reach website says I am completed and my street and town is certainly not complete. Even virgin are in my street and only have like 8 addresses in my street they can service. Kelly communications and open reach have been in my street on and off since 2022 but have never seemed to actually changed anything. Although they did dig up my street.

@thomasweldon89 There is no guarantee that the whole street will be done, if the Fibre checker below does NOT show for your address then you are not getting it. See below and check, also can be ISP etc not ready to go....

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

The link for the wholesale doesn't recognise my address and it's not a new build. I have emailed my local councillor in regards to this and awaiting an actual human response.

@thomasweldon89 Do you have a copper supplied Broadband connection from Open Reach at present?

Yes my exchange in my town of kilsyth is fully fibre. I have copper from the cabinet to home. When open reach and Kelly communications tried to thread the new fibre through the old gpo underground ducts they old cooper was shredding the new fibre. And unless they do my whole street simultaneously at a huge cost then it will never happen. This is why I have emailed my local councillor and Scottish government also. It's rather unfair to classify my street as rural whe it's certainly not and only because it's flat's. Anyways sorry for my rant it's just very frustrating when the houses in my street get full fibre from the telegraph pole.

@thomasweldon89 Got the exact same in my home town, although OR civils have just started digging up the far side of the pavement for ALL off the poor homes that have NO fibre on that side as the ducts going across have been filled by VM, much to the annoyance off all those residents and the fact that OR would have to pull ALL the copper out to get a fibre in, and i bet you a lot do not care about fibre BB in the slightest at present, so a major gotcha and a lot off head scratching, and OR never wanting to spend the money to get back 100' to a pole and string from pole to pole to pole etc... Those wanting and waiting have been since Sept, and the uptake on VM is minimal, but they certainly stuffed OR big time as they can and did....
