Fibre internal connection box

Openreach converted me to fibre running the fibre cable and connections. I have noticed that the faceplate on the internal box with the flashing green lights swivels and appears not to be fixed tight on the backing plate. My sister-in-law also had Openreach install to install her fibre connection and her faceplate also swivels on the backing plate. Can I concur that it is meant to be loose?

Upon further investigation the faceplate has keyhole slots on the back so it lifts off two screw threads which protrude through the wall which secures the external connection box.

Hi @edbostan

That definitely doesn't sound right. I've had a look at mine and it is secure against the wall.

It may be worth giving our broadband guides a call like @XRaySpeX mentioned so they can get an engineer to check it out if needed.

Michael

Sorry correction. There are two screwheads which the keyhole slots slide over. I screwed the two screws further in to the wall so it fits tighter. I must wear my glasses more often.
