Fibre install now delayed until a few days after previous provider contract ends

Openreach have delayed my fibre install from 30th Sep to 13th Oct.   I'm transferring from PlusNet to EE (to keep a digital phone).  Unfortunately this new date is now 4 days after the PlusNet contract is set to end.  With two of us working online from home this will be a major inconvenience.       Will Plusnet or EE be able to extend the PN service?

I plan to call EE on Monday anyway as I'm still not receiving emails from them despite calling on Friday and supposedly updating email and other info that the PlusNet call centre operative had apparently not entered correctly in the EE details when setting up the transfer to EE.    Openreach obviously have correct info as I've had email and texts from them regarding the change of install date.

@ntpntpntp The PN - EE changeover, once OR get's the Fibre install done and then inform EE it's all good etc, PN keep the lights on your connection up and working, so really you should have zero to worry about.

Dates change in the OR Diary etc, just be sure to respond when they request from you by either the text/e-mails and it all should in theory go real smooth. PN are the ones moving you over to the sister company....

Edit:- From your other posting also you should be able to fully setup your new EE Smart Hub 7 Plus ahead off all the installation and when they are done straight plug in and off you go with it all.👍

In your EE Account by now if you can get to it, the details should all be there for you to see, in your profile.

Don't worry! Your PN BB contract won't end until you successfully migrate to EE when it'll be auto cancelled. These BB contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the non-discounted price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly migrate, cancel or upgrade.
