Since UPP have been running fibre services into the village. My 2 year agreement with EE is for about 66Mps, but is now down to 22 or sometimes 30Mps. Question - as UPP is offering up to 900Mps with fibre to the house (maybe), as of this weekend, is that new speed causing a slowdown at the local big area brick building for the area code (some 3 miles away) and then the local green boxes (some 200 yards plus away)? Is it bleeding the actual volume input/throughput and thus call-off by the copper wire links? Seems interesting. I would like to stay with EE on my 65Mps agreement - but if only get 25Mps - that is too slow and buffers too much. Any ideas. Any comments. Perhaps EE will offer a faster deal now that fibre is fitted into the village and down our street - through the existing pipe channels. Thanks P

@Furni : Alt-Nets like UPP have their own infrastructure separate from that of BT/OR.
If you would like help with your BB speed or connection issues, please would you carry out the following steps for starters, which will enable us to diagnose the problem and advise you further. Do not restart your router to do these tests:
1. Post your full router stats:
Full router stats are key to any speed & connection issues.
2. Try a wired speedtest, using an Ethernet cable supplied with the router, here http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html . Click on the "Results Page" button at the bottom of the graph you first see and then copy to here just the "Link to this result:" link that you see below the next main graph.
3. What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker, not the Postcode Checker.

Thanks for that. So, does that mean that UPP has a monopoly for this village for fibre - as per BT/outreach - reaching out to other providers? This means I need to change from EE to get a consistent higher speed. Just checked - as my wired line shows 55Mps and that is fine - so now need to know why my double choice 5G router is only showing the lower speed section (about 25Mps right now) on a selection of user kit - weird. Maybe I switch off and degauss again - usually about every 3 months or so. OK.

No. BT/OR should have presence there as well. Which exchange are you on?

Yes, BT/OR has a presence there.
