Hi. I have just had fiber install at my property and the engineer was very nice and asked where the point in the house would need to be. We agreed to where it was to go. But,,,, the route of the cable,,, this was not discussed and I didn't spot the routing until leaving the house. The route is right along the center of the house and ran down the side of the rear door then Along the edge of the wall.
rather than routing it neat. Should I contact the installer or the provider?for this as it's a eye sore (black wire on a white harling) will add photos at later point.
Will this be able to be routed neater

Please add pix.
Is it from an overground telephone pole or underground?
Did you have a landline or BB connection before? If so, did it follow that route?

Was overhead,
been with EE for 13 years. Don't think I have had a phone line in the property but have had bb for the whole above time and also the internet point was agreed to be at same point as old point area and there is no other cables . And it's not like it was short for length on cable as this was the waste put in my bucket .

Do the new cables follow the same route as the old cables for the old BB?

The old line was via the phone line point. And I am not sure where that was routed but not where this has been put

Yes, but there must have been cables on the outside wall leading to it from the eaves (your 3rd pix). They should've followed that.
