Exit fees

my contract expires on 24th June. when can i sign up for a new supplier without incurring exit fees

OR

if i arrange new installation on 24th June, is that sufficient?

do i need to inform EE or will new supplier do it?

Once your EE BB min. term has expired then if you want to migrate your BB to another ISP you apply to them directly & they'll take care of everything bar your final EE bill, using the One Touch Switch (OTS) process. This will auto cancel your contract with EE.

@paulbw67 Installation / changeover is 14-21 days on the OTS, you may be able to kick it all off now and be fine!

As a BB Installation / migration usually takes about 2 weeks you might be able to do this as early as the 10th June.

Just to expand on the great details @XRaySpeX  shared here, you're charged for your plan for the month going ahead, so depending on when your bills are produced, you may have already paid up until the 24th and beyond.

If this is the case, you'll be refunded for anything you paid for after the date your contracted ended, or when the line disconnected if out of contract.
