EE to BT

My EE contract was over and I was paying a higher bill than normal then a guy From EE/BT called out to my house and got me a lower deal so I accepted it but I didn't realise I was signing up to BT but now I have a new BT Hub so do I need to cancel my EE payments or will BT take it over since they are the same company

I take it you mean you doorstep caller trying to sell BT BB to new custs which you're not. That's not the proper way to switch to BT from EE. I would not be surprised if your EE contract is being cancelled prematurely & you would be liable to EE exit fees.

@Tommyie BT should in theory take care off getting you with them and cancelling all off the EE side, but DO keep an eye on the EE payments, you may get one more then a refund, or just a straight refund depending on your billing cycle. EE should also send you an e-mail letting you know that you are now no longer with them.... That will be around your BT Activation date.

Just to be 100% clear EE and BT are NOT THE SAME COMPANY at all, they are Both independent ISP's but do belong to the BT Group, that is were it ends....
