EE fttp pings and latency question

kannann
Visitor

Hi there,

Are the pings and latency low if connected by ethernet? I’m coming from Virgin and would like to compare before I actually make the jump.

When i used to be on fttc years ago with BT was getting pings close to 5ms to bbc and google etc.
Is it going to be the same with fttp?

@kannann You get no assurance from any ISP with ping/latency, link to post if you wish to see and read recent posting. With VM what are you like at present with your ping? Network connected you are certain to be lower, fttp will let you know install is Tuesday if it does not get stuffed again, but more hopeful as now GAURANTEED OR are doing this time and not the contractor.

Slightly faster. Shouldn't be noticeable.
