EE Smart Hub Pro router issue

Anyone else facing this issue?

I set my 2.4 GHz to a fixed channel 6 and saved. The setting doesn't hold and changes to channel 11. I have factory reset the router and the firmware is up to date.

Firmware version:

r2.64.2-R-1210501-PROD-1
App version: 2.34.2

When was this update pushed? I see r2.64.5-R-1298597-PROD-1 on my smart hub pro but this piece of dirt has been cutting out multiple times a day and I highly doubt a FW update will fix that

I just got firmware r2.64.5-R-1298597-PROD-1 pushed last night. I was out today, but tomorrow I'm working from home so i'll see if it stops the wireless cutouts that i've been getting whilst on r2.64.3. Fingers crossed, as it has probably been the worst router I've ever had. My smart hub plus was far better, with better throughput and reliablility.

@Barneyabz That's what happens when the equipment is so new and doo doo's has to fall and end up somewhere, it's a strange one, and as you see, not many names on the forum and know idea what the report count would be like, but as you say, not long to go, and fingers crossed for all involved...🤞

Would have liked to see EE get this fixed in the r2.64.5-R-1298597-PROD-1 update

@Huggons1 Wouldn't it be nice if there was even a brief note to what was potentially done or addressed, then again no fun in doing that, right!!

Totally agree. I think that EE should be transparent and provide release notes for every update. They make it impossible for customers to report bugs to them and take opportunities for continuous improvement.

Have you tried disabling adblock / different browser? I don't think it's a firmware issue

Thanks.

Yes I have. Same issue on any EE smart hub pro. Same issue on any device in the admin page. Tried on different computers, different mobile phone, different browsers. Someone else on the forum, kindly tested it on their smart hub pro and confirmed that they took had the same issue.

@Huggons1 Do you still have your EE Smarthub+ if so do you see the same effect with that router?
