I've just moved from Sky broadband to EE with the Smart Hub Pro. However I can't get my TP-link range extenders (RE450 and TL-WA850RE) to work with it. I use the range extenders as wired access points for a couple of wired devices around the house rather than to extend the range of the network - I'm have a couple of the Smart Wifi Pro boosters to accomplish that, and the boosters need to be in different places to the wired points so I can't just use the Smart Wifi devices for both.
The TP-links will both connect to the wifi and all lights turn blue, and I can connect to their extended networks, but there is no internet. The tether app says "No Internet" in the status. Any tips on how to connect the boosters to not just the EE wifi network but to actually to the internet please? Or any other ways to get wired access points that don't involve powerline adapters (they don't work well up into the loft).

Ok so I think I’ve found the problem so posting in case anyone else reads this and has the same issue… the firmware needs updating but unfortunately the updates aren’t available for my devices because they’re the older versions. Oh well!

@foxlj Can you be more precise, is it that your HW version of the devices you have are old, and Tp-Link has not done a new FW version because of that?
Any way, why don't you just look at a newer version of the RE something up there nearer the spec, or limit your older devices to a wired connection if possible, You have the Ferrari of speed router, and driving a LADA down it's lane.

Yes that’s exactly what I mean. I only need it as a wired point for my cat flap so a LADA is perfectly fine for that!

@foxlj Always the trouble trying to use the older gear up, had a quick look even the older powerline is now getting harder to find.
