Hi, I've recently switched from BT FTTP to EE FULL FIBRE, The switch at first seemed to be alright but my ethernet connect the last few days has dropped from 930mbps down to 10mpbs, also my bt voice phones don't seem able to connect to the hub and even when I've managed to connect 1 of the 2 handsets, it drops it out pretty quickly. What is happening? I'm starting to regret changing over altogether.

@Rickster7 : What speeds does it show on the BB Status page?

Hi XraySpeX, thanks for the reply. On my Network Connections page I'm getting Wifi of 7 & 480 mpbs. On ethernet connection it's stuck on 10mpbs ( on the first couple of days when i connected the new router 1 was getting 930mpbs on ethernet) Also no service on phone line still. Don't understand why the ethernet connection is still showing the old BT router.
This roughly roughly started the same day i got my last bill from Bt. I'm wondering if they have hit a switch to disconnect me from their service but it hasn't been applied to EE correctly.

Hi @Rickster7 are you using cat5e or above ethernet cable when testing the wired speed?

Hi Neil-o, i'm using the cable supplied with the new router with the red ends, cat5e. I've also tried the old one from the BT hub which again is a cat5e.

@Rickster7 The connection from your WAN port to the ONT is showing a 1Gb connection which is as expected.
However the one on your LAN port only shows a 10Mb connection, so either that device can only cope with that speed, or the cable is not Cat5c or above or is faulty.

The connection on the lan port is the same device that was being used when i was with BT only about 3 - 4 weeks ago and is the same as when i installed the new hubm the speed was fine for the first couple of weeks, but within the last week on the day i got my last BT BILL, it just started showing 10mb. I have a new CAT6 cable coming tomorrow, so i'll try that and see if works.

Have you tried a different port? Reset the device or router?
What is the device?

@Rickster7 It is a very old Ethernet controller, but certainly capable of gigabit speeds, you have not changed any of the properties for the nic or anything like that, should set itself as 1000/1000 with the EE router lan port.
