EE Router Phone Port

Mike31

Hi - I'm running a RJ45 cable from my phone downstairs to my new EE router upstairs. I think i need need an adapter to convert rj45 f to RJ11 male, which hopefully will fit into the EE router phone port.

Any suggestions?

The router's Phone port is neither RJ11 nor RJ45. It is an ordinary BT socket just like the ones on the wall. Your phone should've come with a BT cable that will fit it.

@Mike31 Would advise a RJ45 coupler's and connect your RJ11/phone cable supplied into that, pin for pin it should align ok at that point and the other end of the RJ11/ BT phone cable into the ATA connection on the back off your router think it's marked UK phone, do try to keep cabling as short as possible, you will get a slight speed hit but not by much! Couplers off either type to either connection and cables you should find available on the likes off Amazon.
