I have recently signed up to EE Broadband. My broadband is working fine, however the APP WiFi controls feature and the Wifi enhancer are not available on the app or via the website. An error message appears and states it is a problem with EE. I have spoken with the technical team at EE on two occasions and they have recommended i reinstall the APP and restart the router. I have now done this many times and the APP features are still not working. This is very very VERY frustrating! I am going in circles with the EE technical team and it is not clear how or if this will be resolved. EE is not living up to expectations. If there is an issue, i would prefer EE acknowledge the fault and advise when it will be fixed rather than directing me to do the same thing over and over again (i.e reinstall the app). Can anybody help? Is this new feature just a myth?

Update, had a call today from the complaints department. They have not removed the contract ends date as promised as they now say there will be a fix next week. I argued that they have gone back on what was said to be told as there is now a date for the fix they can't release me from the contract. When pushed if I will be released next week if the fix doesn't work the answer was I can't say. This company is a joke, just feels like a stalling technique.

Could try your luck and see if they'll offer a discount.. as I'm sure most of us are now paying full price 😑

Been paying £77 a month since the move from BT. It just feels like they are stringing us along with no end in sight

So, my router and extenders rebooted in the night. And this morning, in the app, I can see the router, both extenders (and the items attached to them), I can see the Groups I created and it seems faster.
For now, I'm not sure whether it's an Easter Egg gift, if it's permanent or a temporary glitch (that makes things better).

Same here. I'm considering cancelling. I'm paying for 500mb and getting 40 mb so should I get a pro rata refund?

If that’s what you’re getting to your hub then something is definitely wrong. I don’t think they do pro rata refund but I’m sure every package has guaranteed minimum speed which for 500mb is I think 425mbps so if you don’t get those speeds to your hub definitely let them know because if they can’t sort it out then you will be able to leave penalty free.

@ALL update my end.
hub updated last night around 0245-0300hrs (I was awake when hub rebooted) to 1.13.1 and I tried the WiFi controls again but still nothing.
App update now in Apple App Store as of 10min ago for me (other app stores I don’t know) 5.34.0, updated and again tried WiFi controls… I think it’s up and working!! I can now see stuff.
I had to go through the steps of setting up the router (it does say skip steps if already connected but didn’t want to chance it) so make sure your at home, and bam… I’m in… not played around to much as of yet but I think it may be up and running 👌👌👌

I am trying it on my iPhone now but as far as I knew it was not really the app/ router that was at fault but something to do with our accounts but I might be wrong.
