EE Broadband APP WifI Controls not working

I have recently signed up to EE Broadband.   My broadband is working fine, however the APP WiFi controls feature and the Wifi enhancer are not available on the app or via the website.   An error message appears and states it is a problem with EE.  I  have spoken with the technical team at EE on two occasions and they have recommended i reinstall the APP and restart the router.  I have now done this many times and the APP features are still not working.   This is very very VERY frustrating!    I am going in circles with the EE technical team and it is not clear how or if this will be resolved.  EE is not living up to expectations.  If there is an issue, i would prefer EE acknowledge the fault and advise when it will be fixed rather than directing me to do the same thing over and over again (i.e reinstall the app).   Can anybody help?   Is this new feature just a myth?

Hi, I think I need to be clear as time as passed since I wrote my original message- I HAVE NOT BEEN HELPED. The issue still exists, there has been no update beyond being emailed to say this is listed as a complaint and is being looked at. I still have no control over the WiFi beyond it being switched on. It's a really poor response from EE and the product is not as described. I don't understand why BT had a version which worked well, EE, upon taking them  over, cannot replicate the same system. They're meant to be a tech company and cannot get a basic app to control one of their own products to work. It is really poor.

I'm having the same issue. Had this from the start, switched over mid November 2023. Phoned customer services.... Let's see what happens next.

Sorry to hear this. That is pretty poor of EE, which is a real pity because generally I've found them to be good.

I only phoned EE Customer Services yesterday. Am due a response within 3-5 working days. Viewed here to find out that (many) others were having the same issue.

What is particularly annoying is that stuff like "XBOX Pass" and "WiFi Extenders" can only be dealt with via the app, so I've had no control on these for a month because of the fault in this app.

Any update? Mine hasn’t been working for months!

I've sent my details in as requested but heard nothing back, seems a lot of
customers have purchased ee broadband especially for this service and many
are experiencing the same issue.
If they have advertised and sold a service that they can't give its very
frustrating and may need looking into in greater depth!

Still no updates as of yet, 

I have tried and tested multiple devices with a negative result:-

1x Samsung S22 - Android 14 One UI 6.0
2x iPhone 15 pro - IOS 17.1 - 17.2
1x iPhone XS - IOS 17.1-17.2
1x 6s - IOS 15.7.4

1x iPhone 8 - IOS 16.2 -16.7

1x iPad 8th Gen - IOS 16.5 - 17.2
1x Vodafone smart 1 - Android 5.1

All with the up to date EE app version 5.28.0(520573).

Also with the recent app update the shop tab has now stopped working and stating, “sorry looks like a technical error”, and to call the free cs number.

So it has to be account issues not just app and device issue's as I have tried multiple with different software updates on them.

I have sent all my findings so far to the TMC department so it can help them. If I get hold of anymore devices I’ll try them aswell.

Mine hasn't worked since I transferred over from BT about a month ago!
Seems like we've all just been abandoned! Let's just hope they don't expect
paying for a none existent service!

Oh yes they will 😂 I can bet there won’t be any offer of compensation for lost functionality. Unless people call and fight for it at least 😊
