EE Broadband APP WifI Controls not working

Mart30

I have recently signed up to EE Broadband.   My broadband is working fine, however the APP WiFi controls feature and the Wifi enhancer are not available on the app or via the website.   An error message appears and states it is a problem with EE.  I  have spoken with the technical team at EE on two occasions and they have recommended i reinstall the APP and restart the router.  I have now done this many times and the APP features are still not working.   This is very very VERY frustrating!    I am going in circles with the EE technical team and it is not clear how or if this will be resolved.  EE is not living up to expectations.  If there is an issue, i would prefer EE acknowledge the fault and advise when it will be fixed rather than directing me to do the same thing over and over again (i.e reinstall the app).   Can anybody help?   Is this new feature just a myth?

I checked the EE App yesterday on my Android phone and behold after all
this time waiting, I was finally able to get into my WiFi via the App and
see the state of play! I was quite pleased that I could at last do and
today rang the EE Customer Services to discuss what compensation I would be
getting now that the issue (for me) was resolved. After a couple of hours
being passed pillar to post between Customer Services and Technical
Support, they then said that I needed to go through EE Customer Services
and this was BT Customer Services! I explained that I had gone through the
EE App to connect to what I thought was EE Customer Services but was told
it was not?? Any I finally spoke to the right department, only to be told I
would not be getting any compensation as they only gave that if my Internet
was down, which it wasn't. I explained that I was not receiving the
service that EE were advertising all over the place, of how you could be in
total control of your Internet system, using their product. This I
obviously wasn't able to do since I could not get into my system because
App wouldn't allow me! I said that this was different to what I had been
told when I first complained when I went over. The EE Customer Services
agent said I had been misinformed then. I said it's funny how things
changed after the event. Had I been told this when I first reported the
fault that I wouldn't be able to control my system for nearly six months, I
may have chosen to leave the contract? I am very disappointed with how this
issue has been handled and think a lot of you others have been too!

Different people had different results - I guess it just depends on who you speak to. Mine are still not working and I was offered a one off £40 and written confirmation I can leave my contract at any time while the issue is not fixed. So if I was you I would ask them to either escalate or to send you final response in writing and go to ombudsman. Again different people had different results but worth trying!

Just wish I could of just stayed with BT instead of the migration hassle. Oh well, most of the other providers are much of the same anyway so Ill just live with it for now.

I still can't access mine, in fact I would say my app now gotten worse, as I can no longer check my broadband bill 🤣

Last day with EE, 6 months of being told it's being worked on was long enough.  Contract end date removed so Im gone

Afternoon.

Did you get the app issue resolved?

I have just took out the broadband and the Wi-Fi Control toggle is still not there. I have spoke to 3 advisers who initially were saying that it wasn't there because my plan didn't cover it and that I needed to pay an extra £10 a month to get it, even though it said it was included. Interesting that the last adviser said it's common pratice for them to say something's included and it isn't?? It turned out they got there wires crossed and got confused with Wi-Fi Enhancer but still no clue how to fix it. They had no knowledge of the app so couldn't help. Did you find a fix?

Thanks, Kevin.

Hi Eddy

I have just joined EE broadband and still no fix. I have tried uninstalling and installing but no toggle there. Have you found a fix?

Thanks, Kevin.

I was just so lucky to get the extenders installed before the App broke last night.

Hi

18th April and still no fix.

Thanks, Kevin.

Hi,

I have just joined EE broadband and got a text through and on the app saying Wi-Fi Control was "standard" and "included in the plan" and their agent last night said I had been "misinformed" and would put it through as a complaint. They obviously use standard wording.

Thanks, Kevin.
