Morning, apologies if in the wrong section
I am with EE for sim and very happy but with BT my BB. My contract doe snot end for a 5 months but wanted to swap over to EE as I like their service etc.
I saw a flash deal for 900mb for 31.99 core which is much cheaper than my 58 with BT, however the man on the phone said he could not do that deal all he could offer is £1 more than I pay already.
My question is: Is this because I am still in contract with BT or because these deals are only for new customers ? it is a massive price difference.
Thanks in advance

The price you have seen there is for a brand new customer starting fresh with no current relationship/contract with BT or EE for Broadband.
It is because you still have time remaining on your BT deal at the price you agreed - any change to EE mid-term means you must maintain the same price or higher. Your agreed contract will not just be written off, it is taken into account with the deals you are offered while still in contract.
Within your last 30-90 days (recontracting window) this may be different and lower prices may be available as you will have served your minimum term and be agreeing a new deal.

@Mattyjoyce As a BT customer you will NOT be a new customer to EE, so you cannot get that lower price...

That is very poor isn't it, especially as I am already with BT. I will wait till my contract is nearly ending and move to somewhere else, quite a few deals out there now.

@Mattyjoyce Why wait, check out switching credit from some off the other ISP's will be fairly close to your final BT bill...

Thank you for your advice, I will wait till nearer the contract end and contact BT or EE then, if no good then will move to an new ISP.
