EE app installed.  Router already setup and working. Phone connected to router wifi, no problem. I'm in the EE app, middle option Smart WiFi. I click router is already set up. I click enter details manually. I click I'm connected now (as I'm already connected in settings). Message dislays 'It wasn't possible to connect to the network. Please try again.'

Does anyone know how to resolve this please?

Even worse is apps on non-existent smartphones. Mandating smartphones to BB users is crackers. Only a mobile-centric BB-ignorant provider would attempt it.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Given I have only started on my EE journey since last Thursday and that I have had this apparent problem you have all kindly advised me about the apps; can anyone tell me whatt to use to ensure I have the wifi "extender" that EE call a disc (comparable to the BT DIsc). In the past I would have used the BT app to determine where to position the "Disc". What do you use for EE ? I thought that was the point of the EE app ?

@clivepocock Will send you the link from the help on smart wifi, it will get you started, i would use the ethernet setup method if it was me, then go from there and do give it some time to settle, do not use the EE mesh system myself position the disk halfway between the area that you have signal weakness think that the app helps but not sure. @clivepocock Best advice for you also, do not return your BT equipment until you have a fully functional and working system, there is 60 days before it needs to be returned and just in case you have any problems.

Thank you @JimM11 !

@JimM11   I have a bag of stuff sitting in the corner for that very reason ...very sound advice - thank you

Well I tried it today. Didn't work. I thought the extender was causing conflict. Didn't work. You would have thought a company thay we trust with our banking details a security would have an app that works properly. Controlling the WiFi through my phone was a selling point when bt went to change me. Wishing I had gone with virgin now. At least they have full fibre in my area. Well little under two years and I will change.

Anyone know the latest on this one, I was looking forward to banning certain devices (kids laptops!) whenever I choose! Seriously though, had the new hub for a few months now, no problems with the internet at all but would be good to get the mobile app working. I am hoping there is also some QoS stuff I can configure too, would be nice to restrict the bandwidth of certain devices, e.g. Xbox.

Hi to be honest I didn't find a solution. Everything I did didn't work. Then I woke up one morning and tried setting it up and it just worked. Sorry incan't be any more useful on this. I have noticed other issues since then and they are slowly being resolved. Apparently though if you over pay they can't refund you they can only take it off your next bill. Not happy with that. If I pay by cash they should refund you in cash.

Sorry I can't be anymore help.
