Hi,
Wondering if anyone has any information on the below please as I can't find anything on the website or Google.
Does anyone know if the new EE Smart Router (white one) uses a Realtek chipset?
As per https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2022-27255, Realtek chipsets are susceptible to this CVE.
I tried calling EE but the girl I spoke to didn't have a clue what a Realtek chip was never mind if their routers had it.
Thanks in advance for any info.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

The EE Smart Router is based on the BT Smart Hub 2 which uses a Broadcom chipset.

Hi @AndyBoyle
It seems Realtek have issued a patch for that vulnerability which is only vulnerable to network traffic.
I don't know the specific answer to your question.
Thanks
