Do do I need to wait for an engineer?

I’ve just signed up with EE broadband, and received my 2 hubs today and have an engineer appointment on Thursday. I have an Openreach modem already installed in the property (it’s a new apartment) and I know what I’m doing with the equipment. I’ve plugged in the hub to openreach modem, and have 3/4 lights on. The only one that is not on is the LOS light. However, my hub is blinking orange currently as I assume that the service hasn’t been activated yet. Do I really need to wait for an engineer to come out so it can be activated? It seems a bit tedious.

@OliviaB22  Nope as that’s the start date for your contract.  They ship everything first so it’s there ready when it needs to be, you don’t always get the equipment until the day before.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

It’s not possible to get changed prior?

If you have Full Fibre being installed, then yes, you need to, wait, as they will run the Fibre to the NTE box, and provision it within the network

if it’s just broadband, they will do this externally on the day
